But this must be indicated as an Apple Base Station specific problem!

I have my SSID set with spaces (like xxxxx - xxxxx xxxxx) and I have no
problems with connections in general. I have a Lucent/Orinoco RG1000 flashed
with Airport 2.02 and can use NCU / Keyboard with no problems at all - the
RG1000 is set to bridge my wired / wireless networks.
