Time for some updates so at least the Newton users in the States have
something to play with for Thanksgiving (the others can play on the
weekend ;):
- Raissa can be set to launch Newt's Cape for fetching the link behind a
news item
- NHttpLib (used by Raissa and MAD Max) behaves a bit better when
disconnecting
- MAD Max now uses the standard NewtonOS codec interface for file
playback. It should improve playability of high bitrate files and
playback on MP2000s.

The stuff is as usual here: http://40hz.org/

The codec interface is not really well documented, but the source code
should tell a bit about how you can implement your own codec (Ogg
anyone?). Also, if you have MAD Newton installed (the low-level
decoder), you can use the codec in any application. The codec's name is
"TMP3Codec". Unfortunately, using the codec makes some things like the
progress bar or volume control during playback very very difficult. MAD
Max is still not very polished...
