I really wanted to check it out, but I had/have the following problems:

Unzipping on a WINDOZE machine produced the NewtyEs.pkg.bin file.
Simply renaming it to NewtyEs.pkg does not do the job.
NCU reports: this is probably no package file, cannot install.
Then I transferred the Zip to my MAC, used Stuffit and got the package file
NewtyEs.pkg but the NES.SMB1.pkg was not recognised as a package.
Using PackType this appeared top be a package as well and I could install
both.

Starting NES.SMB1 is loading the NewtyES and displays several loading
messages, but hen I end up with a screen showing the step code button and
nothing happens.
After closing the program I see the Err Msg -48200.

I use a german MP2100.
This evening I will give it a try on my US MP2000.

Cheers
Johannes
