[NTLK] GPS Results

Ok..

I tried using the regular newton to pc cable, gives me a lot of I/O
errors under GPS NMEA (FieldNote software) if I use the adaptor from
FRY's it won't communicate with the GPS. I tried a different Garmin, a
GPSII plus, same cables (Newt to PC and FRY's adaptor..) nothing.. no
communication.. I tried a Pretec CompactGPS Compactflash card (with
PCMCIA adaptor) works fine.. but card isnt mine..

so..

None/NMEA or NMEA/NMEA and what cables are you using and where did you
get them?? *sigh*
