Wow=2E The nexio brings back memories=2E We had a internal project at Ap=
ple
called Frankenbuckey which turned the lid into a keyboard=2E

There were two versions=2E One placed the newton into a enclosure which h=
eld
the MP2100 and had a keyboard built in (the large picture on the site)and
another which had a keyboard the size of the MP2100 as the lid=2E(the two
smaller pictures)

While your approach is new and original in its own right, I think the way
Newton looks cannot be separated from what lies beneath=2E Use of SDL may
make
emulation NOS look easy, but the problem of matching the look and
native(whatever platform you used to do this) application remains=2E I thi=
nk
the latter will be a bigger job maybe=2E

This is not to discourage your effort and idea - I too feel the need to
succeed NewtonOS platform in newer hardwares=2E We all do=2E Being an engi=
neer
myself, I personally think Paul's emulator plan looks promising=2E But I'd=

like to see other approaches=2E

On a slightly (un)releated note, as I don't rememner seeing this
information
on the list, I'll introduce a interesting hardware=2E This is the closest
handheld to Newton form-factor-wise=2E It's a PocketPC from Samsung=2E
