I fear you have fried your E-mate. I had this happen with an UMP2K. Use only
Apple branded power supplies unless you are very tech/power savvy or you
will blow a small chip/component on the motherboard and it will not power up
at all. My UMP2K will still chime, then act as if it will power up, then
immediately shut off. The fix for this is beyond my capability, but Dr.
Newton aka Dave Watson used to advertise the repair for this.
