I agree. I did the last MacUser 'portable Mac' labs, and the 15in
PowerBook was the clear winner - a superb balance of power and
portability. The 12in model is good, but the 1024x768 screen isn't
quite what many of our readers want, and it has a few other limits
compared with the larger models. Whereas the 17in model is
jaw-dropping, and considering what it offers it is surprisingly light
and compact... but not *really* light or compact. It is just that bit
too big for real portability, something you take from desk to desk
rather than open wherever you feel like using it.
