so, that is solved to.

now i have eveything configured as i think it should be:

i have a workgroup card set up with:

dialing prefix: none
city: los angeles
country: usa
no printer
80211b wavelan setup
[Inet http configuration]
[inet smtp configuration]

internet setup
                        configuration DHCP server
                        card: lucent wavelan/ieee
                        domain name: <none>

i hit the i button and selected this set up as current worksite and set
the network name. a strange thing is that the channel number is set to
one, but is has the word (ignored) next to it

anyone??
