I'm sorry to ask a faq question but that's how clueless I am.
My uni has a wireless internet thing. I don't know exactly what it is. What I
do know is everyone has these neato-pcmcia cards and can wirelessly connect to
the internet. And, I would like to do so as well with my newton 2100.
I *assume* this is called a WLAN (wireless local access network) - though I'm
so clueless I do not know the difference between WLAN and ethernet. So that is
a question: what is the difference?
The other more important question is: can newton access this wonderful service
(of course it can) so the final most important question is: HOW?

Ich wohne in Bremen, wir haben (vermutlich) ein WLAN an die Uni (sicherlich
etwas drahtlos fuer internet surfen). Toll! Aber - ich habe _keine Ahnung wie
das Funktioniert! Gibt's jemand hier oder an Uni Hamburg der mir das erklaeren
koennte? Mein newton will einfach surfen gehen! Leider, benoetigt mich um ihn
damit zu helfen. Und ich bin was rheimt mit "wie Brot"...
