David,

I'm with Luiz in that Bluetooth is a better future altogether than USB,
which I feel has a poorly designed architecture.

BT is low power, which is very important, could exist in parallel with the
serial, hopefully needs no connector or changes to the casing and will allow
an increasingly wider range of devices to be addressed.

How it might be implemented as a transport I don't know unless it trapped
data intended for a serial endpoint.
