Berthe,

If you are running NCU with OSX you have Classic installed. This way
you can certainly use an older version of PalmDesktop and fully sync
with your Newton (address book / calendar / notes).

After a lot of experimentation with newtSync/iCal/Address Book I'm
re-installing a Classic environment and returning to my
NCU/PalmDesktop/NewtonPress/X-Port combo. Just after installing and
configuring NCU I was able to do a full backup and upload some photos
to PhotoShow. The next step will be configuring PalmDesktop and remap
the fields to fit my needs.

NewtSync is really a good piece of software and it's really cool to
sync with only OSX applications but it needs further adjustments to be
as fast/stable as NCU. I wish I could program to help in some way but
MacOS programming or NTK are to dense for my javascript/html
knowledgement.
