For a start, you might want to follow the instructions I give here:

Please make sure your interpretation of "follow" is "Do it religiously
and exactly and word by word and letter by letter and don't change
anything even if you are absolutely sure it can't be that important".
If this doesn't cure things, your Newton probably has a hardware defect.
To the best of my knowledge Dr. Newton does not fix H1000 models, so
you might want to get in touch with me if what I describe on the pages
mentioned above does not cure things.
