I don't know why Nintendo is pursuing this. Do they expect people to
still go out and buy NES systems and games? I grew up with Nintendo
and have been collecting titles for years. I agree being able to play
a game on the real hardware is nice, but I personally prefer to play
NES games on an emulator. Nintendo games are almost 20 years old now
and most of the cartridges I own require constant cleaning to even be
playable. In a few more years, I'll probably need to get out the
soldering iron to maintain them. If I were them, I would embrace
emulators because they keep the technology alive and people playing
their games... My $0.02.
