Eric:
How people of African descent want to appropriate their heritage is up
to them, whether it is good, bad or indifferent. The main thing is that
they are not airbrushed out of their historical legacy and
contributions. Yes, Ancient Egypt was as complex and diverse as all
modern cultures; but it was recognizably African. And culture is not
defined by skin-tone. All complex culture absorbs others into it's body
without breaking down.
