You can also work the eject button an then use the Newton like a hammer
(but lighter) against you hand. This was how I used to bet my 2100Mah
batt out. I eventually scraped enough of the battery-case to make it
work better.

PS Your battery may cause cracks in the Newton case, if it's bigger
then it's supposed to be...
