How about the OS *and* the computer on CF?

There are also compact versions of linux that are bootable from CF,
so-called "live" CDs, floppies and even thumbdrives.
I can envision the day where you carry your OS, data and "computer" on
a CF or similar type of module and plug it in to your handheld PDA,
tablet, desktop, car, etc. It would make migration to a new "device"
(user interface module) so much easier, with no need to reinstall the
OS and restore all of your data.
