Though I completely agree with you Ed, this the only part where I don't.
It's not just the handwriting, put the Newton HWR in a crop of PDA's
you have now and it would still leave you wanting.
Because to me it's the HWR and the OS. The way it's all integrated, the
elegance of the correction possibilities, the way one uses copy and
paste etc.
In short, very good HWR combined with a true pen-based OS. Strangely
enough the latter tends to be forgotten...
