Finally, the one PCMCIA card slot is quite limiting. What if you would like
to connect to the internet and also have enough memory storage capacity?
Can't do both.

No Go on the networking for the 1x0 series. So don't worry about connecting
their with the PCMCIA... But the one slot is still limiting. The built in
serial port is a God send compared to the death prone interface of the 2x00.
