I can't say enough good things about the Buffalo Air Station =
WLI-PCM-L11GP.
It's not 54 mbps, only 11. I bought this card for my Newton, to get =
started
I installed it into my Windows XP Pro laptop. To my amazement, this card
pulled a signal in that was 2x - 3x better than my Linksys card, using =
all
Linksys WiFi equipment. With the Linksys I could stay on the same floor =
and
work, but not on the second floor, basement or even just outside on the
deck. The Buffalo on the other hand let me go anywhere in the house,
anywhere on my property and the furthest I got with it was down 2 houses
from mine outside. In the MP2100 I could even go into the house 2 doors =
down
and surf. Funny thing is that the external antenna portion is much lower =
in
profile than the Linksys too. So far, no tumors, out growths or extra =
digits
either!
This card is cheap, available worldwide and works well in Windows and
Newton's alike.=20
