sorry guys I didn't get to follow this thread...
do you mean it is possible to install an LCD screen to
any PDA (palms, pocket pcs) that it will be able to
measure room temperature? How about exposure to light?
What would happen when the PDA will be switched off
and stored in one's pocket, bag? What would be the
cost for such a screen?
Also, does anyone know if it is easy to build an
oscilometer in a pda? There are certain actiwatches
out there which are used to measure
movement/psychomotor activity - but they tend to be
very very expensive. I heard that they are generally
easy to build but the big cost really lies with the
software which they use that analyses the data - even
though they sell each watch for about 600-800 british
pounds - that's way too much for their actual cost,
isn't it?
I am working on my PhD project and I am trying to
use/build a similar device that we can use with
patients with mood disorders. Having a build-in
temperature monitor and activity monitor would be a
major plus as this will give us objective measurements
of a patients status without having to burden the
patient all the time reporting his state.
thanks
Yanni
