I was unsuccesful too on my first attempt to recell the eMate battery.
The problem was to me (and probably has been your case too) that
staying more than one second with the solder iron touching a battery,
you will destroy it.
Why not try again?

I managed to snag a really good condition eMate from Ebay - it has =

I have seen that some kind souls can assist with emate battery work on =

On a similar note, I was gutted to read though my digests this morning =

PCBMan has sold out now. The only other place I have seen them is from =
Ferdi, and I am not going there - still smarting from his attempt to =
