Hi all,
I'm pleased to announce Einstein Emulator DP3.
What is Einstein Emulator?
--------------------------
It's a NewtonOS 2.1 emulator. It's the first step of the Einstein project.
Where can I download it?
------------------------
On my website:
http://www.kallisys.com/newton/einstein/
What's new?
-----------
- Optimized the code (the emulator is now 30% faster).
- Wrote a TCP/IP utility to dump the ROM.
- Fixed a bug in many instructions leading to a weird way to display
floating point numbers (and probably other elements).
- Made the REx and the Emulator work with other 2.1 Newtons.
- Began support for checksumming of the ROM.
- Began support for GPIO including support for the power switch (doesn't
work very well yet) and support for the backlight.
- Removed the custom version string from the Rex (it was only displayed on
the emate).
- Rewrote the CLI application, disabling log by default.
Regards,
Paul
