Matthew Thanks.

I had notes file names with dots in them. Well actually I had untitled files with dots in the first few lines of text and the Newt had automatically extrapolated a name from that.

Once amended, nSync worked fine and download the text files perfectly. A major step forward for me.

while talking nSync, I'm using iCal 2.0.1 and nSync cannot select an iCal calender in either the to-do sync or calendar sync drop down menus. In addition I get a warning telling me that there are 'no iCal calendars' when running nSync. There are over 20 of them!

Any clues?

Thanks again

Jon

In the nsync setup under "Text Files" check the "Show Log Messages" box. Try to sync again and see in the log window where it hangs up. Send the log to the list and to nowhereman and we can hopefully figure this out!

Also, let us know you Mac OS version and if there are any non-letter characters in the titles of your notes. I had some problems in the past with lecture notes since I would include the date with "/" in the title, and the UNIX file structure of OSX would see those slashes as directories when syncing. Made for some interesting backups!

Good luck!
