Yes and no. I do like the fact that the Sony Ericsson P910 can be used
equally easily by pen and by "hand" (using the 5-way rocker). As with
most things computer, it's mainly a matter of being consistent and
redundant: the same action gives you the same result everytime and
things can be done in more than one way. Both NewtonOS and Symbian are
good (although not convergent) examples of that philosophy.

Not necessarily, PenOffice does a nice job on the Windows desktop and it
emulates nothing more complicated than a mouse and a keyboard.
