Hello:

Only my second post here and am new to the Newton, which usually means I don't have a lot to say yet. But regarding selling the newtons as a lot... I've been watching a lot of Newtons on eBay for a few weeks. So I can speak to that. Perhaps there are other good approaches besides eBay that can be suggested.

If you sell everything in a single auction on eBay, you're likely selling to someone who wants to resell them... you won't get the best price. But there are a lot of people who need this or that item.

So I suggest finding someone you know who sells on eBay to actually split the items into separate auctions. It seems you will receive a lot more money that way.

Here's the best example: dongles don't give you any additional income if they are sold as part of an auction. If there's a Newton and a Keyboard, then it's expected that the keyboard will connect. If it doesn't that's just a mark against the auction. When sold separately, the dongle seems to bring between $20 and $40 easily.

So what's your location? Perhaps there is someone near you on the list who would like to have first chance to buy some of the items in exchange for selling the rest?

Regards,
Phil Honstein
