one of the main differencies between the newton and the recently
announced iphone is that the newton is a "module-based" device.

newton was designed to be expanded manages that task rather well
after all those years. contrary, the iphone is more of "disposable"
ipod-like technology. theres nothing to expand, nothing to modify.
you cant even install 3rd party software or change batteries. of
course, you will be able to buy new apple-blessed (and possibly lame)
games and widgets through iTMS, but thats not quite the same.
