Re: [NTLK] Un-deletable Package Lockup

Well first off I would suggest backing up with Simon Bell's NCX:
http://homepage.mac.com/simonbell/
the program is not finished yet but from what I hear it will do a backup
and restore which is what you need right now.

Do your backup first before anything else. Then I would try using
something like trash pack something similar to delete the package (left
over preferences are not a issue here). Another thing to try is SBM
utilities. That will fix it if it is possible. But don't install to
the store that you deleted the package from. Install to another card or
internal, then try to fix. If you install to the same store
(card/internal) it may make the problem worse.

If this does not help then do a restore using NCX (but without Book
Reader). I suspect that you will have to do a restore as this problem
of a half-removed package is serious and you don't want the corruption
to possibly spread.

I will say it is odd you had this problem with Bernie's Book Reader as I
have used it along with a lot of his other software and never had a
issue like this. Sounds like some unusual corruption in general rather
than the Book Reader package itself.
