Sadly this is doubtful for two reasons. First it would involve a
rewrite of the NIE (Newton Internet Enabler) 2.0 to work with Newton OS
2.0. And since no one seems to be able to (either lacking in skills or
time) to fix NIE or upgrade it, the prognosis is not good.

The other issue is the 130's lacking in heap. NIE uses a LOT and you
will have problems running older versions (which are compatible with a
130) at times. Let alone trying to get enough heap to use the later
version of NIE that will allow WiFi.

Something else should be mentioned regarding WiFi. It is not exactly
the easiest thing in the world to get working even on a 2x00. And you
can't get a registration number anymore as the developer has disappeared
so the only driver available is limited. Also even if you do, the Newt
is not the best browsing device due to all the newer pages that it can't
display. Yes it could get your mail and work well for that. But as
long as you are at home anyway, I think you would find using a desktop a
easier solution. At least if you get as much mail as I do. My Newt
will do this, but still it is easier/faster with a desktop and as long
as you are there...why not use it? But I do admit it is handy when one
is away to check email.
