They may be slow but they are great and
especially if you are getting a 130 online as it only has one card slot.

Good point. Actually that was the problem I was running into as
recently as the Newton 2000. VGA card, modem... doh.... VGA card,
memory card... doh...

Well, now I don't have the VGA card, but the days of making a Newton a
desktop might have been solved by an external modem.

But then, where would you plug the keyboard into? (I have the SER-001,
so I have two serial ports which really just seemed to help in having a
serial line and a line dedicated to sound out, since those two don't use
the same lines.)
