That's just not true.

The mention of the keyboard being faster was a response to an
assertion that ALL COMPUTERS should be pen tablets. Which is absurd,
and keyboards allowing faster input is exactly why keyboards should
still exist.

Imagine a conversation where one person says everyone should only ever
walk or run, someone else points out that driving a pickup truck is
faster, and then a third belittles the second because sportscars are
even faster. That's the conversation we're having. Ridiculous, isn't it?

Walking, driving a pickup, and driving a sportscar all have their
places. Pickup trucks and sportscars are really awkward when I'm
trying to move around the kitchen to cook dinner. Sportscars suck at
moving furniture. Pickup trucks... well, you get the picture.

Bottom line: using *only* a pen is just as limiting (maybe even more)
as *only* using a keyboard. And whether a Dvorak or a steno keyboard
is faster than the QWERTY is entirely orthogonal to that point.
