[NTLK] Pissed Off Emate

Pissed on, actually. My old cat has been sick the last few days. She gets confused and pees in all the wrong places, like on the couch or under the dining table. This morning she is her old self, but then I discoved my eMate had been hit. I wiped it down but it doesn't come on when I open the lid and I suspect there is urine still inside the case. I have never opened one up. Should I just wait a day for it to dry, or open it up and give it a proper cleaning? Odor may be an issue.
