Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't feel that NewtonWorks is a real solution.
What makes Notes so powerful and really superior to NewtonWorks is the
fact that I can combine typed text, handwritten text, and sketches
into a single document. Is there some add-on that can enable
NewtonWorks to have this functionality as well?
I don't value the ability to format my documents neatly, which to me
seems like the only purpose behind NewtonWorks. If I want to type a
professional looking document, I'll use my powerbook.
I went after reviving my emate because as a solid, sturdy device, it
would be ideal for taking class notes with it. To do that I need
software that can take diagrams fluidly with texts and I need a way to
get these notes off the emate so that I can reliably refer to them on
my laptop or at least on paper. Having my notes in a some form of
digital format would be fantastic.
I must say, I am rather frustrated with the sheer difficulty in
getting notes off the emate. It's like you need an act of God to get
this to happen...
In any case, thanks for your response, Josh.

Ed
