The reason for this can of course be your eMate's battery, but this can also
happen because you shut the Newton off by simply closing the lid.


Thanks, and I've learned that.  I rarely shut the lid anymore, and I make
sure to use the true "off" button.

Now, however, I worry about the eMate's portability.  If I'm going to carry
it around, I want to be able to shut the clamshell.
