Yes I undoubtedly would, my first Newton was the original Message Pad, and in terms of the concept of it and the design, it was in some ways as good as or better as the 2000, which I own now.
I would be interested in interviewing people of the Newton community, and if there is another WWNC, it would be great to come to that too.
