It's a great little device...despite its Windows Mobile 2003 OS and non-HWR capabilities...but why carry two? Performance-wise, it's all over the Newton--plays music, it's small and compact, has a full color screen...but I'll take the MP any day.

Thanks for all the help, though.

I think the answer is the Newton is a nice little tablet that has a good screen.

It is Nook and Kindle sized (bookreaders) and is a little bit thicker, but unlike them, has a backlight. :)

The Newton for what it is can be quite nice, and while setup for applications on the Newton might take some doing the end result is quite nice.

As for the hotspot finder, I say ask the people that work at the location. Maybe they won't know THAT particular time, but you can get it worked out in a visit or two. Or just ask someone with a laptop to look it up.

Of course, what keeps the Newton from having an app that can do it?
