[NTLK] eMate as a server

Last night I tried out the eMate as a Newton Server.

Not bad. I have two. One with the sprung latch and flakey screen, one
with the memory upgrade and still working.

I ported a backup from a 2000 to the eMate and the server ran fine. It
bothered me at first that the eMate could not write to the linear flash
card, but as I think about it:

I could develop most of the server setup on a Newton 2000/2100, which
are my prime Newtons. If I ever need to make changes, beam the notes
back and forth (since the eMate cannot write to a linear flash apparently?)

Now just to recell a battery. Might be worth it as the eMates are not
a primary Newton.

Would be curious to hear of anyone that has run a server off a eMate.
A bit slower in response I noticed, but otherwise seemed solid. Any
other disadvantages. Do they possibly crash less than a Newton 2000?
