How’s it configured?  Do the Newton and the BBB both connect to the same WiFi router?  Or do you have a separate WEP WiFi on the BBB for the Newt?

Agreed.  I’ve got an RPi2 and an SD card that I was planning to use for prototyping the gateway software.  I imagine your image will be BBB-specific though?
