I know I need to do a brainwipe and restore of all data, just to clean everything up. There's part of the problem, too, because I keep hitting a -1 error during backup. A website I found yesterday while searching for a new copy of NCU (mine is in storage - dumb move, I know) said that the -1 error during a backup was likely due to a corruption in a data entry somewhere. Why do I suspect that the corruption is in the In/Out-box, it's eating memory like a dog eats biscuits, and I'm going to have a devil of a time fixing it on my own?
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Kyle,
The In/Out Box is known to hoard memory but there are softwares out there that flush them. Richard Li's System Patch is one of it and I think there's another by SBM. SimpleMail 4.0 also helps manage the In/Out Box problem.
Do you keep lots of data in your In/Out Box? I find it better to Put Them Away elsewhere like Works or Notes. If you are not ready to do a brain wipe because you can't get a good backup, a quick fix will be to delete ALL data via the storage Icon in Extras. Then try your backup again.
Hope it works.
