Not even that. Their job is too make money.
It shocks me to find so many think otherwise. Steve draws a crowd
large enough for a small rock show, has countless glassy-eyed
followers that grant him the esteem of a prophet, and at times
projects an air of believing he is. Go marketing!
Bottom line Steve's a business man not a savior. Honestly, as good as
Apple computer products are. They suck! Apple computers are buggy as
hell and there is infinite room for improvement in Apple's products
and business practices. I stand behind Apple computer only because I
feel they suck only slightly less than Wintel.
Advice to Steve's sheep: Bottom line, expect to get your own wool
pulled over your eyes. Feel free to hope Apple screws up and gives
you something really good at a price that's too good to be true, but
don't expect it to last long without getting discontinued.
I'd much rather have a G4 than a P3, but I'd take an IRIX SGI or for
that matter engineer my own machine (given the resources) over both.
Apple computer consistently makes better stuff than the PC side, but,
honestly, how much better is it?
