There's no reason for. I think leaving the card ON, say leaving the card
in the slot and have everything activated is better then unplugging the
card all the time. I use a 32MB Pretec card as well as a 20MB card and
leave both cards all the time in their MP's. Since 3+ years I got no
problem, except things which I caused by myself with installation of
erroneous software.
