Try AvailWorks, now vs. 3.0. It is similar to RagTime, you define text-,
spreadsheet- or graphics-frames on an "empty piece of paper"-sort of
background. Vast functionality, even numerous functions are integrated.
There are the same limitations as in RagTime, though; you can easily format
documents, but several of the classic functions you'd expect from a
standard word-processor are not implemented. You do all your text-input by
means of a proprietary user-interface. AvailWorks makes use of the
integrated dictionary, so it is somewhat limited if you write in a language
other than the built-in dictionary.
NewtWorks cannot be used prior to OS 2.1.
