Here's the top 4 reasons I can think of off hand (with apologies to David
Letterman):
4. If you've got the tablet already for drawing, you may as well be able
to use it for writing too (so as to not have to go back to the keyboard
when you're using the tablet)
3. For people who can't type (or type yet), including kids (BIG Apple
constituency...)
2. For people who aren't comfortable with computers or to whom writing
is more comfortable/natural than typing, or who can't type (perhaps those
with carpal tunnel syndrome or some other disability that makes typing a
problem).
And the number one reason:
