1. get sbm utilities (emergency.pkg) on a memory card
2. open NCU on your computer
3. insert the card to your newt
4. connect to your computer by resetting the device (the emergency.pkg
should connect automatically)
this may not work, as your memory is full, but its worth a try.

Woke up to find my newton in a terminal sleep - it reacts to numerous reset button pushes with the ominous "delete all?" question but when I say NO, the screen just goes blank again.
