Here is a message from my friend (and ex-Newton user) Calum Tsang, a proud
Compaq Presario 3020 owner:
I disagree-the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh (Spartacus) was
formally introduced in March 1997. In July 1996, the Compaq Presario
3020 was introduced-it is a P166MMX with a 12.1" Active 800x600 panel,
quad disc changer, JBL sound system and wireless Logitech mouse all in an
integrated package. By year end, the 3020 had already been in production,
reviewed, and won several awards.
Now, granted, the TAM is much prettier :) It's also unlikely the
3020 is the first all in one desktop LCD paneled machine, but it certainly
beats the TAM by a year.
