I remember the Moskwa river as brown and obviously dirty as let's say
the Ganges in India. But may be it was caused by rainfalls only.
However, north of Moscow in a small village were the founders of Moscow
lived in about 1600, we swam in a small river which was absolutely clear
as many lakes and rivers far from lager cities.
