Greetings, everyone,
I am presently unable to send mail from the Newton because the smtp
address it is using is wrong. There's a typo in one letter, and I can't
seem to change the smtp address. The address used is also not the one
given by Owner Info.
Things I have tried:
-- I have tried to change the address I give it in my SipleMail
information in Owner Info, but the problem continues.
-- I have tried to use ForgetMe to find the proper list to erase, and
haven't found anything there, either. I erased all lists anyway, in the
hopes that the name was funny. Didn't work...
-- I was guessing that I could erase my SimpleMail preferences using SAI
Prefs Cleaner, but there aren't any preferences to erase.
-- I have tried to re-enter different SimpleMail information in Owner
Info, so that it gets new settings, but to no avail...
What else can I do? Is deleting and reinstalling a trick that might
work? The problem I have is that I only use the modem from home, but all
my files are at work. Testing this is taking a while. Any hints?
Thanks for any help that might come my way...
Michael
