I recently sent my MP2100 back to Apple. My main problem was that the
unit wouldn't power on anymore, but I also told the agent "and my
screen is scratched up, I'd like it replaced please." and they did
replace it.
Give that a shot. If it comes back without a replacement, call back
and complain and they should take it in again for no charge.
