Laurent, spoken like someone who hasn't gone through the archive. <j/k>
Planet Newton was given permission to host NewtonMad last summer, but I took
a look at the sheer number of files I would have to go through -- that would
mean rebuilding NewtonMad.
I don't think Kenneth meant to offer pirated versions for download --
although that was a major factor in our deciding not to publish the archive.
NewtonMad has a TON of great stuff that is valuable to users, but we can't
put it up at the expense of those who still support their Newton packages
in commercial efforts (plus it's illegal <G>.)
At the moment I'm in the process of rebuilding Planet Newton (to be
searchable, easier to navigate, faster downloads, etc.) and I may consider
adding some of the NewtonMad archive to keep it available -- but the sheer
number of files to be gone through and re-arranged for such a project would
mean a significant full time effort to clean up the archive.
It's possible some day -- but at the moment, no -- at least not on PN's
servers. PN doesn't usually post software without permission -- even if
it's shareware.
