After the following responses, let me clarify:
>Check NewtonTalk archive at [...]
I have checked the archive using "pkg" "strip" & "stripper" without any
luck. I had remembered the thread as well and thought that the package
was called something similar to package stripper (or something like that).
No luck with the NewtonTalk archives. I then searched many developers web
pages (I thought that this was something that Hardy Macia had developed)
but couldn't find it anywhere I looked. General search using yahoo and
netscape "package stripper" only got me XXX pages. Any other ideas on
search words, I would appreciate.

The problem is not with Stuffit. I have no problems when I download and
decompress from .sit, .hqx, or .zip files. The problem is when I download a
.pkg file directly (a couple of programs I wanted to try were only
available this way). When I then try to load onto my MP2100 I get the error
that it is not a recognised package.
If any still has the earlier thread available (I had deleted it), please
mail a copy of one message to me off line, and I will go back to the
archives and read it.
Thanks,
Kari
