A non-standard folder is one you create yourself. I was routing mail to
sub-folders and ended up with 1944 dates. Curiously, the dates were fine
in the mail in-box. AOL would do the same.

Well, to each his own. I've used the AppleScript to fix a boatload of
misdated files (I just found more today!). For me, it was the best
solutions since I had to fix old files that were being used for client
email backup and reference.
